Oh Hey James, just saw your comment. Blogging royalty visits and I miss it!

Yes I have meant to do something about making the comments less of a pain to find. Will do.

And wouldn't the world be a sweeter place if everybody was prepared to engage in civilised discussion about beliefs instead of going all funda-mental on us.

Navigating to find where to comment was hell. But I made it!

Okay, this sentence right here?

yadda yadda your beliefs blah blah... That’s okay as long as you’re prepared to enter into a discussion about that.

I think everyone should read it and tape it to their wall, even. I haven't had enough coffee yet to be coherent, but yes. That is so right.

Hi Bengt,

Thanks for your insightful comment. I see it as a case of the "one" - the perennial philosophy - containing the "many" - spiritual and philosophical diversity - and vice versa.

You quote from Peter Russel that "Something completely new is emerging: a single spiritual teaching".

I do not see one single spiritual teaching emerging, I see diversity. Part of a Walt Whitman quote fits better (I as in spiritual teaching): "I am large, I contain multitudes".

Stephen, I have no doubt you get plenty of work done, and even if you don't - whose checking up on you anyway right? Which is why you're free to go and try this funny new trick I just noticed about the "Rebel Zen Recommend" Amazon widget thing just above the comments. If you click and hold one of the arrows, the books spin around really fast!

Ah, small things ... I only "wasted" three minutes on that I swear!

I must say I agree with you. I really feel like I've found my peers in some fantastic bloggers. Half the time I spend wondering around reading all the latest posts they've made when I probably should be working on something. Regardless, I think it keeps me motivated and moving along.
