I'm seeing money is like a big flowing river. If you need money, you gotta go swimming. You can just stand on the bank and be envious of those who are swimming but that won't get you anywhere. And a lot of folks are too scared to swim. So they stay broke.
I'm not keen on the keeping score analogy. And I got no use for sports in general. I just like swimming till I get tired and enjoy the fruits of my efforts. This is the secret of "GO WITH THE FLOW".

That's actually a good idea. :)
I think it might really work for me. My gym uses a similar system (I have to get x points each week and if I get enough points there's a test (BOSSFIGHT) and I might go up a level (of fitness)). As a gamer I find it really motivating. It's kind of sad, really.
But I never thought of looking at business that way :)

I love this idea. I too don't see much value in money beyond the obvious that we need it to survive. Hate that btw. I'd much rather live off the land! But i like the idea of making business a game. Instead of letting it rule your life, make it a game. I will hang onto this quote. Budgeting and money are always on my mind as I travel around and it's just exhausting..game on!

Dear Bill, one of the rules seems to be that you can get awfully rich from producing crap products and up-grading them often, using a position of market dominance to make money (imagine producing a product so bad that people would pay money to GO BACK to an earlier version of it!).

Thanks Seamus. I too find money and business boring. I don't find applause terribly rewarding (too much of an introvert I guess) but you have got me thinking about if I can find a way to link making money to something that motivates me. Much to think about. Thanks.
